CEDS worm gears

CEDS worm gears allow a force deflection, which is in most cases 90 degrees. They have a rather low efficiency, but the great advantage of self-inhibition with high reduction ratio. Worm gears are mainly used as power transmission; for example, they are commonly used in presses and rolling mills, material handling or also in mining machinery.
