Brandenburger S 5000®
The S 5000® ablation material has been developed as an asbestos substitute. It is an adequate replacement for the asbestos materials that were formerly exclusively used for this purpose. The material consists primarily of mineral fibers reinforced with aramid, bound in modified thermoset resins.

Areas of application:
The S 5000 is used for combustion and object protection for areas exposed to the extremely hot, high-velocity exhaust jets from rocket engines. Also suitable for material components subject to short period of high temperature and stress, such as in rocket engines, as surface for welding tables, etc.
The ablation rate depends on the duration of exposure and the other performance data of the rocket engine, as well as the distance and contact angle of the core area of the emission streams.
With our special machines, we are also able to manufacture complex custom parts.
