Brandenburger S 4000® material is a laminate based on glass-fibers bound with a high-temperature polymer.
The high percentage of high-temperature resin results in an extremely low coefficient of thermal conductivity with good mechanical and thermal fatigue resistance.
Areas of application:
S 4000® is used for heat-protection plates or machine components of heated presses and tools in the plastics, rubber and wood-processing industries.
Compared to inorganic insulation materials that are subject to brittle fracture, S 4000® is the better alternative. Compared to other glass-fiber reinforced insulation materials, a significantly lower thickness is required to achieve the desired degree of insulation.
